Re-designing old worksheets

This page is about a project of my class "Präsentationstechniken". This week, we talked about the organization of teaching material and after that re-designed an old worksheet.
The worksheet I re-designed is a fill-in-the-gaps exercise covering the topic of visiting London. The original worksheet was not clearly structured. It consisted of a list of phrases the pupils had to complete, but the list did not even look like one. The list was splitted into several boxes that could be found all over the page and were not ordered. One of the boxes was even printed upside down at the right margin of the worksheet. Apart from that, images were missing completely and the layout of the worksheet was boring and confusing.
When re-designing this worksheet, I tried to improve as many aspects as possible. The first thing that I changed was the structure of the whole worksheet. My text is divided into certain paragraphs instead of boxes and it has become a coherent text. In my opinion, a coherent text looks nicer than a list and the readability is improved. In addition, I decided to include some images on the worksheet. The images I chose fit to the content of the paragraphs they are attached to and arouse the pupil`s interest. All images I added to the worksheet are taken from the following website: www.sxc.hu . This is a free stock photo page where you can find lots of material for free.
If you are now interested in the worksheet I designed, you can download the pdf file at the bottom of the text.
